About Orenda
Orenda is a small nature education program founded in 2007. It was created order to offer the community a selection of programs to help inspire a lifelong love of the natural world. Our goals are to offer unique learning opportunities which highlight the lessons that can be found in nature, to build a healthy sense of community, and to support and encourage the growth and development of budding naturalists and mentors of all ages.
The name Orenda is an Iroquois word which describes a state of being in harmony with nature.
We thank all of our teachers for being a part of our inspiration in this work. We thank the greater community for supporting us. We thank the members of Potluck Farm for sharing their land. We also thank the children, teenagers, and parents who are the first pioneers of this program.
